Several years ago, I sat exactly where you are sitting. I had a successful career in the UK, but I saw a horizon in the US that I needed to reach. I made the move.  I navigated the M&A world of working for a NYSE public company; became the President of a Technology company, and have spent two decades building ConnecticsSearch Associates  to identify not just the best talent, but the "right" talent for each client company, having gained a stellar reputation amongst all the client companies we have made placements for.

The UK—specifically the, Technology sector—is hungry for the "Scale-up DNA" that only US-based professionals possess. But the "Pond" is wider than it looks. A US "VP of Sales" speaks a different language than a London-based "Chief Commercial Officer."   A VP in the US would hold the title of Director in the UK as a further example.  A Silicon Valley equity package looks nothing like a City of London Enterprise Management Incentive scheme.
